Introduction to RigFlow 2

RigFlow 2 brings planning, execution, and reporting together in a single platform. It’s designed to make operational steps clearer, easier to follow, and more reliable — all while ensuring that everything is documented as you go.

Think of it as your real-time assistant during operations — keeping you informed, aligned, and in control.

Main layout and navigation

Your workspace is divided into four key zones:

  • Left sidebar (main navigation): Quick access to tabs like Plan Overview, Operation Overview, and RigPage is part of the main navigation. Read more about Plan Overview , Operation overview, Notifications, and Explore the user interface.

  • Main center view: Displays both active and drafted plans, along with their steps. Each plan includes details such as operational instructions, preparation steps, relevant information, attachments, and more. Read more about Plan Overview, Comments, and Insights.

  • Right Sidebar: Provides context-aware tools such as the Operation Log, real-time data, and other supporting utilities. Read more about Operation Log, Realtime data, and Export.

  • Global Action Bar (Bottom): This is your control center, where you can complete steps, record deviations with actions, and leave comments. Read more about the Global Action Bar.

Execution Mode

  • All plans there is in draft, used before the plan operations begin

  • You can review, and prepare plans

  • Great for team review and task preparations

  • All approved plans, both active, started and not started.

  • Live step execution with insights, comments, logging and sensor input

  • Automatically captures timestamps, sensor data, and depth.

You can always click Show Live Operation to jump back to the running step.

Key functional areas for your plan

  • Preparation tab: Pre-job tasks like checklists, role assignments, and approvals. Must be completed before the plan or a given step starts. Read more about Preparations.

  • Information tab: Contextual data — purpose, risks, mitigation, calculations, and change log. Read more about Information.

  • Attachments tab: All supporting documents for a plan, such as PDFs, images, rig schematics, and reference material. Read more about Attachments.

  • Workgroups: Each workgroup has its own set of plans and steps to execute. Read more about how to Change workgroup.

  • Real-time data: Integrates with sensor data from the rig. This data is available in the right sidebar during execution, giving the team real-time insight. Read more about Realtime data.

Operation log - your black box

Everything is tracked, such as step and actions (deviations), comments, codes, time and depth, and real-time entries.

Tip

Keep the Operation Log open while executing steps — it’s invaluable for understanding what has happened on the rig over the past hours or days. Read more about Operation Log.

Insights and lessons learned

Use the Insights button in the Step toolbar (top right corner) to capture observations as you work or after completing a step. Keep your notes brief, clear, and actionable — everyone on the team can add their input. Insights are stored automatically and help shape future planning in RigBridge. Read more about Insights.
