How to Use Comments
Introduction
Comments in RigFlow allow users to communicate, provide feedback, or leave notes directly within the application. This feature enhances collaboration and helps track a plan's progress by allowing team members to share technical information related to a step or raise concerns within the context of a step.
How to
Accessing Comments
Comments can be found in many different places in RigFlow, such as:
Plan overview, under a plan and a step.
On the Global Action Bar, click on the Comment icon.
Operation log, when clicking on a step.
Adding a Comment
Click in the comment input field or click the
comment icon.Type your message in the field Enter comment.
If required, change the time for the comment by clicking the field Now
next to the comment field.Once you are satisfied with your comment, click the send icon.
Tip
Use @Mentions: To get the attention of a specific team member, use @ followed by their name in your comment. This sends them a notification directly.
Tip
A #Sensor data: You can easily add real-time sensor information to comments. Simply type the # hashtag, and a list will appear, allowing you to select the specific sensor or sensor group data you'd like to include.
Editing or Deleting a Comment
Find the comment you want to edit or delete.
To edit the comment, click on the comment's text.
To delete the comment, click the
delete icon next to the comment.
Replying to Comments
It's not possible to respond to a comment. Instead, you have to create a new comment.
Examples
Example: A team member notices a potential issue with a procedure and leaves a comment: “I think we should double-check the pressure settings here.”
